LAB ACTIVITY
Objective:
To understand the concept of decimals.
Materials Required:
Grid paper, pen and colours.
Procedure:
Step 1. On a 10 × 10 grid rep re sent 0.22 by shad ing 22 parts of 100.
Step 2. To rep re sent 0.7, col our 70 boxes as 0.7 = 0.70.
Represent 0.54, 0.1 and 0.99 on the other grid papers.
Observations:
(a) The number of unit squares in the grid one = _________________.
(b) The number of unit squares shaded in grid two =_________________.
(c) The shaded portion in grid one represents the decimal _________________.
