LAB ACTIVITY

Objective:
Drawing of an equilateral triangle, using the ruler and compass.

Materials Required:
1. A ruler 2. A piece of paper 3. A pencil 4. A com pass

Procedure:

1. We draw a base line of any length with a ruler.
2. Using the compass we mark arcs with radii the same length as the base line and get an equi lat eral
trian gle.

Procedure:
1. Draw a line segment BC of any length. At B draw an angle of 60° and at C draw an angle of 60°.
These angles will meet at A.

2. ABC is a required triangle.
Try:

1. Draw equilateral trian gle of side:
(a) 5 cm (b) 6.5 cm (c) 7 cm
2. Draw equilateral trian gle according to angles with side 6 cm.
