LAB ACTIVITY
Objective:
To give the knowledge of integers, experimentally.
Materials Required:
Chart paper and sketch pens of different colours.
Preparation:
Students work independently.
Steps:
Draw the following on a chart paper and do as per the instructions:
1. Write the opposite of (-7 )(-12 )(-15 ) as the product of two consecutive integers. Give two
answers.
2. Place -1, -2, -3, - 4, -5, -6, -7, -8 in these boxes so that the boxes which have consec u tive inte -
gers do not touch. They should not touch at all, not even at the corners. Find how many ways are
possi ble.
3. In a Maths test each wrong answer is awarded – 1 mark and each correct answer is awarded 2
marks. Find the total score of a student scor ing 66 marks on the correct answer and – 22 marks on
the wrong answer. Also give the number of correct answers and wrong answers.
4. Colour the regions whose sum is 6 as red, 8 as yellow, 11 as brown, 7 as green, 9 as black and 12
as blue.
